Commission Junction Deactivated account
I never had a good feeling about Commission Junction or CJ. Not after I tried contacting them about repeated failures to sign up to an affiliate partner (with some completely unusable error message). They were unresponsible. Not after some people I know had their accounts suspended without any notice and were locked out and never got an answer why.
And today... my account is gone too.
But I was stupid enough to go with them, and actually put effort into inserting some of their merchants into my advertisement rotations, price listings and started promoting them.
And this morning: "
Our records indicate that your account has been deactivated.
To try again please go back to the login page. "
No contact info, no "restore account" option, no email of warning. They just shut my account closed and that's it.
What I think of it? I kind of expected that. Even though I sent all the papers they requested, I never used spam or questionnable tecniques or put advertisement on any sites with questionnable content. I won't even email them any more, I went thru a reactivation process and I know it is not possible.
My account generated traffic and hits but no sales as I was in the process of finishing a new site that would have used CJ merchants then ready. But appearently they just close account that do not make sales or just randomly.
Final word: stay away from Commission Junction. I do not know one single person who is happy with them. Their conversion sucks, and they tend to lock people out without sending a warning email.
They lock you out and steal your traffic until you notice. What should I say. CJ affiliate sucks.
It needs to be mentioned that Partner Gateway teamed up a while ago with Commission Junction, and since that my very few sales disappeared, and some of the merchants I promoted left the program. Interesting.
